Captain's Log #37 cover

Captain
Captain
A frantic chase between a couple of Fed frigates and an overwhelming Romulan force. Let me know what you guys think:

Why is NCC 323's image blurry -- its not taken fire?

...and shouldn't the Fed frigates be dropping mines and poppin' out drones?... :D

...but I am sure it doesn't go along with the story-line...

Otherwise, nice work.

Lets see : Cool starfield & Nebulea backround

Starships exchangeing fire and moving

Great color choice for the Nebulea

its GREAT!!

I love the frigates and the shield bubble!

Way to make those blob-romulan ships look good. I don't like the design they're based off, but they look a bit less like shuttles on steriods and more like actual ships...ARGH!!! Still not very manacing though. That's probably impossible achieve though.

Anyway, great work!

Simply outstanding.

The motion-blurred frigates really give the cover a sense of motion. Great use of the shield bubble effect. And I really like the starfield and nebula background. As mentioned earlier, great choice of color for the nebula.

Captains Log 37!
Only brought #36 today and still have to read the story.
Love the picture though and can't wait to see the fiction that goes with it

This is good, although I'd suggest the Romulan ship's weapons should be more of a greenish tint rather than a blue green. They look too similar to the blue Fed phasers.

Personally I like to think of the Rommie weapons as being red, not green. At least in the TOS-era.

Re: 1

Sorry for the necroposting - I only found the thread now.

It looks pretty cool!

Wish I could remember the names of the two frigates involved in the event, though - I think one is the Guderian, but I can't quite place the other...

Re: 1

That's really really pretty. Your renders are getting more sophisticated.

#37!! I remember when #6 was a big deal!
