Captains Log #36 cover WIP

Captain's Log is a regular publication put out by Amarillo Design Bureau containing content related to all of their SFU properties. It usually features some kind of fiction story which the cover is based around. The upcoming issue is the first one ever that I get to do a cover for. This picture is my initial sketch for it.

The story is about one of the many battles between the Tholians and Seltorians. This particular one features a carrier duel, ending in the evisceration of the Seltorian carrier. Lots of fighters and gunboats engaging in frantic close-combat while trying to keep their carriers from getting annihilated. I plan to paint the super-imposed Tholian and Seltorian faces in the image. When I have this image in a 3D form I'll post it on here. What do you guys think so far?

It's done. I didn't have room to do the whole face thing, but I think it still looks pretty kick-ass. What do you guys think?

Yeah, pretty much. But given how much the Tholians dislike having ANYONE in their space ever(I can't tell you just how much of an understatement that is), they probably shouldn't be too optimistic about living to see that pickup.
