Incredible work! This really is how Discovery should look (I had kinda hoped Lorca would be an Andorian).
A really great job. The blending, the sizing, all perfect. Only the light source on the right side of his head is a little off.
Apparently, Star Trek: Discovery is a "reimagining," or some other BS like that. Some of the most recent news is the Discovery transporter room. So I decided to "deimagine" the transporter room. This is my WIP for the REAL Discovery transporter room. By REAL I mean, at least makes some effort to fit into the era in which the show is set. I've done some general blocking out. Here's two slightly different angles: As you can see I've kept the basic shape of the room consistent with "The Cage." I've added in the general look of the Discovery Production Transporter room. My design philosophies are that the Enterprise was launched in 2245. All the later iterations of the Enterprise transporter room are modifications of this old transporter system. The future of the transporter room is the TMP version. So if the Discovery was built after the Enterprise then the transporter room should be a few years more advanced than the Enterprise and include a few hints of the TMP version.
