You have no idea how happy that makes me, to see how close I was and being so new at it.

This does spur me on to buy some art pencils. Right now I'm using #2 pencils to do all of the work. Thank you Venardhi.

I definitely see a lot more work with the shadows going on.

I think that kinda like the last drawing, it would help to shift the facial features down some--a little more forehead and a little less chin.

Yes, I seem to be having trouble keeping everything centered. Anytime I do something from my own imagination instead of drawing from a photo, I get this result. I may just start buying graph paper.

Graph paper might not be necessary...drawing some basic guide lines before you draw is usually a pretty good way to get the features lined up in my experience...though I can't say I'm perfect at it!
