He did visit Susan when he was Eight, with rather tragic consequences (Big Finish audios). Whether she's still there to visit now depends on whatever happened in the Time War afterward.

I keep hoping for a TV reappearance by Susan. I think the show already missed a couple of good opportunities for cameos. (1) She should have been the mysterious woman that kept talking to Wilf in "The End of Time." (2) She should have been the Conscience of the Moment instead of Billie Piper. (Although it does work really well with Rose in that role considering the role she played in helping the Doctor recover after the Time War.)

Are they ever going to bring the Doctor Who Experience on tour? They need to bring it to the US at some point! (Although, my family keeps talking about possibly taking a trip to the UK at some point. I think I could insist on a side-trip to Cardiff. Probably in exchange for taking my mother to the Downton Abbey house. )
