As I kind of expected after they announced the big Easter weekend Specials and Series Five marathon, they'll be showing the Series Six premier on April 23th as well! Woot! I really don't know why they take so long to announce this.

What about Day of the Moon? Isn't that supposed to air on the 24th in the UK?

Space definately isn't airing it on the 24th. April 24th on Space is basically just the Doctor Who Christmas specials, follwed by a rerun of The Impossible Astronaut.

I assume they're just airing "The Impossible Astronaut" and airing the series in order weekly.

If so it is kind of irritating that we get the premiere the same day it airs in the UK but have to wait an extra week for the rest of the episodes.

Oh well, one week's lag is still pretty good, all things considered.

The BBC has officially confirmed April 23 as the airdate for Impossible Astronaut but there has been no mention of Part 2 airing on the 24th - and they certainly would have confirmed this if it were the case - so I assume that means they're airing it week to week as usual.
