Hi, all. So rightnow I'm in a Discord game of Star Trek Adventures. I'm playing a male Caitian. I'd like to put together an avatar, using my exceptionally limited GiMP skills, or to find one.

I just can't seem to find a good reference pic, though. Here's what I'm looking for.

Black or very dark fur. Looks more like a lion than a leopard or housecat.

Does anyone here know where to find a good Caitian face? Thanks.

Try using a Maine Coon Cat for inspiration. I saw a set of pictures of a Maine Coon Cat family that gave me the impression of Patrick Stewart, James Earl Jones, Gregory Peck and Charles Kuralt having a conversation. Of course, then I found out they were all girls.

@FormerLurker, yeah, a Maine coon! Thanks for the idea. @Atolm, I'd thought about this guy, The game I'm playing is set in 2375, and I kinda need to find a front face thing. I think I'mma look at Maine coons.

Ive used Face Morph type apps to do something similar. But combine a human with a cat face. Maybe a Puma with a human. Sometimes you have to work on these things to get them right.

You can vary how strong either face is. Here is the same pic, but this time 2 human females to 1 tiger. This will obviously make her look more human.

Lion guy is coming along. Not thrilled with the scaling. But it turns out that when you combine a Lions face with a human face, the resulting face has a distance from eyes to chin and lips that is larger than a human beings. So the resulting face seems oversized even when put with an otherwise correctly sized human body. I'll work on a solution to that.
