I completely forgot this show came back after the U.S. Open was finished. Fortunately, USA airs their shows over and over again, and you can also find these episodes online, such as on Hulu.

An associate from Michael's past hires him to assassinate a woman named Jeannie, who is about to become a very rich widow. As Michael investigates, the situation grows more complicated.

Henry, an assistant manager at an armored truck company, is being pressured by a ruthless man named Lesher into providing information that will allow a heist to go down.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

Both were great episodes but I especially loved the season finale "Good Soldier". It was great seeing Carla again. She is a great villain. I loved the motorcycle race at the end. I loved the scene where Michael rams the bad guys' car and starts shooting and shouts that he will be judged for his sins. Michael was like an angel of judgment! And as usual, Sam had some great lines.

The cliffhanger was awesome!

And there was some very nice stuff going on between Michael and Fi in "Good Soldier" as well. I think poor, nice Campbell is close to getting the boot.

These were great episodes. For the BSG fan in me, I laughed when Sam described Carla as "a machine".

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

The finale was great! I loved the motorcycle chase, and the scene when Michael figures out it's a set-up was downright creepy.

Some great scenes with Michael and Fi, and lots of Sam is never a bad thing. I still think it's funny that Fi's boyfriend is named "Campbell."

And, better yet, we don't have to wait an entire YEAR to see more. Yay!

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

I stayed up into the middle of the night to watch these two episodes on Hulu. Totally messed me up today. And then to have it end on a cliffhanger... :(

Even though you know he's not dead.

Anyone know when the next episode is? There's five more listed for this season.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

The ad at the end of last night's episode said, "This Winter." I take that to mean late January or early February.

We shall see.

Michael's poor yogurt. :(

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

They were good eps but I wasn't feeling the cliffhanger at all. I felt like the last episode should have dealt only with the Burn Notice stuff and not the usual side mission. I mean, I knew we wouldn't be given all the answers, and I expected we'd be given very little answers but the truth is, we were given none.

Of course he's not dead, either. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I didn't get the "oh wow" feeling I got when he drove into that truck at the end of the first season. That was like "wow, think of the possibilities" and all this was was "ok, now I wait a few months and he's recovering and right where we left him, knowing jack shit."

Yawn.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

The scene where Michael realized the door would explode was cool but him jumping as it exploded wasn't really a great cliffhanger.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

Here's to hoping they'll actually story arc this one. I'm going to be annoyed if they immediately follow up with another dumb Joe Schmo of the week episode.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

^Yeah, it would be nice to break the formula once in awhile.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

Well if anyone cares, while you're waiting for Burn Notice to come back, Jeffrey Donovan's going to be in Clint Eastwood's Changeling.

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

Just as a reminder, this is not a season finale. It is merely a break for a few months. Think of it more as when most television shows take the month of December off. It's nothing more than that.

The reason you're not feeling it as much as the car driving into the truck, or anything "epic" like that is simply because this was just another episode in the season. The actual season two finale will not air until sometime in January or February.

That makes me feel better about it.

I was just about to mention that very fact.

Season 2 of Burn Notice was contracted for 16 episodes and thus far they've aired 9 of them, so the remainder airs this winter.

Psych is doing something similar to this, and will be back with a Christmas episode like they did last year, so it's possible Burn Notice will be back as early as Christmas, BUT it more than likely will NOT be a Christmas Themed episode if it does obviously.

Season 3 (as far as I know) has yet to be greenlit by USA, but if they're smart they'll fix that sooner rather than later...

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

I started watching this show in June as it was gearing up for the new season. I like it so I sure hope it doesn't get canceled. I'll tune in for a third season. :techman:

Re: Burn Notice: "Double Booked" and "Good Soldier" - Grading & Discus

I like this show. It's MacGyver with a modern sensibility. I DO wish Donovan had a speaking voice with more flavor and less monotone. I LIKE him, but he does tend to drone a bit. I love when they push him out of his spy character.

I didn't really pick up on the show until a few weeks ago and got caught up as much as I could via Hulu. But the first few episodes of Season 2 aren't available right now, which made Campbell a rather frustrating - though amusing - surprise. I've loved Gabrielle Anwar since Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, but I do wish she weren't so rail-thin. It's probably natural for her, but she doesn't look healthy. She's a scathingly hilarious character, though.
