They've announced that Burn Notice creator Matt Nix is working on a new X-Men series that is being produced by both Marvel Television and 20th Century Fox for the Fox TV network. The show's executive producers also include Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb, and X-Men movie producers Bryan Singer, Laura Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Jim Chory.
Here's the description from the CBR article, which they in turn got from Variety. They say the show will follow
...two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive
So it doesn't sound to me like this will be based on a specific comic series or team. I'm curious to see what comic book characters will appear, since the lack of a specific title team or character means there's really no way to guess who they'll use.
Burn Notice is one of my favorite shows and I love the X-Men movies, so I have pretty high hopes for this.
This is a put pilot, which means that Fox will either have to show it or pay the producers, so we're most likely going to at least see the pilot, even if it doesn't go to series.
They're doing this instead of the previously talked about Hellfire series.

I'll certainly take a look at it. I enjoyed Burn Notice and generally enjoy the X-Men stuff I've seen so.... :)

I never watched Burn Notice (its just not my type of show, even if Bruce Campbell did show up on it), but I'm up for trying any X-Men related stuff. I
