Building the Tumbler from Batman Begins/TDK

Holy CRAP! And a suit! Talk about a Halloween costume.

Seriously, that's some serious dedication right there. I've contemplated doing something along similar lines (ie, constructing something related to a fictional universe) but the sheer amount of labour involved not to mention the cost has me wondering if it would ever be something I could accomplish. This is pretty inspiring.

Imagine that thing pulling up next to you at a red light...

It must be nice to have so much free time and money on building a movie replica.

Yeah that tumbler is pretty cool but the Mods are a bunch of d!nk$ over at SHH. Not like the cool mods we got over hear. They ban people left and right for wasting bandwidth and lock threads like they're going out of style. Too bad:shifty:

Pfft...sucker. If this guy wanted to be truly like Batman, he'd just go down to his multi-billion corporation and take on that will just happen to be sitting around not being used and no one will notice that it'll be gone. ;-)

Seriously though, does that guy plan to drive the thing around? No way in hell would that be street legal.

Also I hate how the people there repost pictures right under the original post. It's on the same page you don't need to quote the whole thing again!:scream:

Awesome dedication for the tumbler. Heh rolling up in that thing for halloween would be killer. Going at 5 miles an hour dropping by each house. Jumping out batman style.

Personally building fictional cars like the delorean time machine or ecto 1 are way beyond my budget.

I'd rather try to make WALL*E. It's a slow process but its coming along. To see the progress

I don't think he ever answered the $64,000 question, though...

Does it actually have a rocket-thrust engine on the back?

Amazing stuff. But, he needs to build a second one if he wants to get that bridge working. My dreams of a real life Batman must come true!

that would be one sweet youtube video of two tumblers driving over river. maybe he used this as a small reference

Quickly, someone start getting Enterprise blueprints out. We need to start construction, we can't be outnerded by Batman fans.

Easy, you build a working Type-II phaser and then disintegrate his tumbler

True, but the impression an Enterprise would make would be incredible. Besides, she will have not just one working phaser, but an entire phaser array!

I'll start construction on the warp core. Let's see, some 2 x 4s, aluminum foil, a clothes hanger....some anti-matter....
