"Buffyverse" Lost almost makes sense

So I was talking to Lindley and we kind of decided that Lost almost works with the Buffyverse if you pretend it's in an alternate dimension or something. All you need is for the island to be on a Hellmouth and for Whitmore to have a lawyer from Wolfram & Hart and it's practically canon.

Here's what we came up with:

Dharma Initiative = The Initiative
Secret group doing morally ambiguous research/experiments? Yeah, definitely not a stretch

Dead characters walking around = manifestations of the First Evil
Christian turns on lights and opens doors, but otherwise he works. He certainly looks evil.

Richard = vengeance demon
He doesn't age, and he made Juliet's (husband? boss? I forget) get hit by a bus that one time. Plus he moves off-island really easily.

Jack-Kate-Sawyer = Angel-Buffy-Spike
Love triangle o'doom

There's really no point to this thread other than the parallels amuse me.

I figure the Others must be were-polar-bears. Their "primitive" clothing is just something convenient to repair when they rip out of it on the full moon.

And the Smoke Monster is the "essence of slayer" demon. Hence its obsession with judging who's good, and eliminating those who are evil.

As for the Others, clearly they're the remnants of the African Shawmans who founded the Slayer line. That's why they're so interested in Locke----they're trying to create another "chosen one", male this time, for some nefarious purpose.

And do you think it's a coincidence that those ancients who created the slayer are also building giant statues of a fertility god on the very location where the essence-of-Slayer demon hangs out? Clearly the statue was a Slayer artifact of some kind.

:eek:

So when the series ends, expect the island to collapse into itself, Kate will declare she's not ready to choose between Jack and Sawyer because she's still cookie dough, and Sawyer will die. :eek:

In fact Spike and Sawyer are a little reminiscent of each other. :lol:

Maybe the lab under UC Sunnydale is Dharma Station: The Fuckup.
