BSkyB buys Virgin Channels (UK Viewers)

Oh dear, it looks like Star Trek may disappear from Freeview once again Sky have managed to get Virgin1 as well as other Virgin channels and intends to "rebrand" it. I thought I'd share the info and hope that the collective consciousness of the board can alleviate the frustration at the potential loss of good programming on Freeview

Having bought their competition, Sky can now happily hike up their prices and put more made for television shows on their movie channels.

^Not necessarily, a Virgin hold the rights to TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise - which they picked up when Sky let the contract lapse.
