I saw him at the comic-con a couple years ago, and spoke with him for like, oh, two minutes. And he is a STAR TREK fan. I told him he should do a TREK-toon in the style of Batman/Justice League. He told me that the style is copy-righted as well, so he wouldn't allowed to.
I didn't know that a 'style' of animation could be protected. So, like, if someone did a cartoon where it looked like it took place in the Simpson universe, but was not a simpsons spinoff, or even made by the same producers, that would be against copywrite law?
Paramount should just licence out a small part of TREK to WB so that TIMM could do a Timm/style trek cartoon..I would watch in a heart beat...
