Bringing back the Borg

With the Borg apparently destroyed its a great opportunity to fetch them back bigger and badder than ever (obviously it would have to be done via a movie unless they're willing to make a new series).
My vote is to do something similar to when Law (Datas brother) took control of the renegade Borg, the Borg queen could have been working on a more fully cybernetic robot (using recently assimilated knowledge) which only has a human brain as an organic component (the next evolution of the Borg), it could have been offline during Janeways attack and following the death of the Queen it could have been activated, it then took control of the collective and began rebuilding it using the knowledge obtained from when future Janeway was assimilated.
The Borg can finally be reborn as a new more menacing relentless enemy of the Federation, Borg that we used to love, not only that but the collective could have a new shaped vessel packed with new technology like Transphasic Torpedos, batman armour ;) and a whole manner of new tech assimilated from future janeway.

Yeah, and because of the Janeway assimilation, they'd be re-born as coffee swilling, caffine-high nuts. "Resistance is futile, drink Folgers or die".

"This isn't just a Collective. It's a family. Won't you join our family? Resistance disappoints me."

The Borg aren't destroyed.

Janeway used a virus, there are always people or beings immune to viruses.

It only takes one Borg to survive to restart the collective. ;)

That's the way to think!

Thanks, bro.

Exodus, keeping it real.

The Borg can be brought back ... although they will need some time to rebuild.
The Borg did assimilate the armor technology, but not the torpedoes ..
I would imagine that most of the information they received from when the Queen assimilated future Janeway is highly garbled because of the neurolitic pathogen which introduced chaos to order and utterly messed up the collective.

Also ... it is quite possible that future Janeway copied the shuttle's database to Voyager's computer thus giving the Feds aid since she knew that the Borg would be getting some of that knowledge by assimilating her ... so why not give the Federation a chance to level the playing field ?

The Feds would even be able to work with the technologies Voyager brought back and even make the armor once again Borg proof ... it would merely need some more time though.

If anything ... I think the Borg could be introduced again ... but they would have to put more effort into fighting the Feds again because as I said, it would be realistic if the playing ground would be leveled off.
The Borg would still hold a certain advantage, but the Feds would be better equipped to handle them.

In the TNG relaunch novel Renaissance coming out this month, the Borg have apparently stopped their "ask first, assimilate later" attitude and are fighting for their survival or somesuch. I need to go on the hunt for it this weekend.

If they bring back the Borg they ought to have them turn up with new weapons and devices and make them more like machines then before.
The biggest mistake Trek did with them was humanise them.

Data has a brother named Law? I think you mean Lore.

Spelling is irrelevant.

Anyway as I said about the Borg, the best way is to make them more machine (as someone said) and how better to do it than to have a next generation Borg (a humanoid machine with a human brain full of latest Borg technology) to take over the collective, the new gen borg could be unstoppable and relentless in its mission to assimilate others into the collective and the new tech makes them more of a threat.

I don't wanna be paranoid or somethin', but I think the Borg will never be really destroyed. Their thing for the newest and greatest technology will always keep them going. The Borg've got their own way to move on: assimilating. They will assimilate until...well, forever.

I think most of the VOY episodes dealing with The Borg were pretty good but also disapointing. At some point I wanted to know how The Borg got started or seeing them assimilate an entire planet not just a tiny colony. I also would have liked to find how what the ulimate end game (no pun intended) was to them.
