• to save succeeding regenerations from the scourge of the Doctor, who twice in our regeneration has brought untold sorrow to Masterkind, and
• to reaffirm faith in fundamental Master rights, in the dignity and worth of the Master, in the equal rights of Master and Master and of Masters large and small, and
• to establish conditions under which pleasure and respect for the Masters arising from the Master and other sources of Master law can be maintained, and
• to promote the Master's progress and better standards of life for Masters in larger freedom,

AND FOR THESE ENDS

• to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good Masters, and
• to unite our strength to maintain Masterful peace and security, and
• to ensure, by the acceptance of principles and the institution of methods, that anti-Master force shall not be used, and
• to employ inter-Master machinery for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all Masters,

HAVE RESOLVED TO COMBINE OUR EFFORTS TO ACCOMPLISH THESE AIMS.

Accordingly, our respective Masters, through Masters assembled in the City of San Francisco, who have exhibited their full powers found to be in good and due form, have agreed to the present Charter of the United Masters and do hereby establish an international organization to be known as the United Masters.
