Bridge Displays

Anyone know where I can find pictures of Bridge Displays for the Enterprise-A? There's some in the back of Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise (from the few seconds they showed the Bridge at the end of Star Trek IV), but it's only a couple and I'm pretty sure they aren't the same as the bridge in Star Trek V and VI had.

I think that's all that's available. Only the small part of the Enterprise-A bridge seen on-screen was refurbished/repainted/Okudagrammed. The rest of the set was as it was in STIII.

FWIW, the TMP bridge graphic displays can be viewed at www.cygnus-x1.net, in their blueprint database. The "Enterprise Flight Manual"

IIRC, although the 1701-A bridge was not entirely finished, much more of it was than what was shown on-screen in the final shot of TVH. There is a period Entertainment Tonight segment where -- I think -- several stations to the right of the the frame in TVH can be seen painted and finished and there is a still of Gene and Majel sitting in the repainted science station. So maybe 2/3 of the bridge (but almost certainly not the viewscreen area) was apparently finished for TVH.

The EFM (which as you probably know was originally written for the Phase II series, hence the Feb. 1978 date) doesn't contain the on-screen displays, but does have the control panels and equipment layouts, many of which were carried over from Phase II to TMP. Unfortunately the version on the cygnus-x1 site does not show the original Phase II tactical station with the huge targeting bubble but rather the one modified for TMP (hence the handwritten instead of typed text).

The Phase II bridge was quite an amazing set; since its construction in 1977 it lasted through the production of TNG (as the battle bridge, et al) and was finally completely torn down when (I think) VOY wrapped. In its Phase II to TSFS form, most if not all of the switchgear and lighting was functional as documented in the EFM. Noteworthy is the helm "Neural Command Override" panel; apparently if Phase II had gone into production Sulu was going to wear a special helmet that plugged into that panel to allow him to pilot the ship via thought control. Picture that on screen!
