There's a new show on Discovery channel called Brew Masters. It premiered tonight. It focuses on a beer dear to my heart, Dogfish Head based in Milton, DE. It's a craft beer that definitely tries to be unique (my favorite is Midas' Touch, which is based on an ancient Phrygian recipe).

Anyway, if you're interested in beer and the brewing process, check out this show. The first episode tonight, they got charged with the task of making a beer called Bitches Brew, in honor of the re-release of the Miles Davis album. Not to give too much away, but the highlight was the owner of Dogfish Head and their Belgian brew master free style rapping

Ah, so that one was the pilot? I actually caught it and watched some of it, but I wasn't sure if the show was already several eps in. I don't really drink, but I do find the distilling/brewing process interesting. Some folks are real craftsmen.

Tonight was the second episode. If you start watching at any point, you won't be missing much. It's not like it's a drama, it's just an educational show about making beer. I've kinda wanted to brew my own beer, so the show is really fascinating to me.

I'm not sure if they re-air it or what, but for those who want to check out tonight's episode, I should warn you that it was a bit on the disgusting side. They were brewing Peruvian Chicha, which is an alcohol like beer that has been brewed since the time of the Inca. It's made from Incan Maize, but they activate the fermenting process by chewing and spitting raw corn.

I kinda want to try it, though.
