TV Guide Magazine has learned that Spiner will join the Syfy series July 23 (the Season 4 premiere) for at least six episodes as Brother Adrian, leader of a top-secret sect known as the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Black Diamond.

I'm hoping that at one point Artie will imprison Brother Adrian for an episode.

It's never explained. At least not as far as I've watched (a few episodes into "Season" 2).

We never find out. It's described as something so terrible that everyone despises him. It's some running gag; nothing that they could come up with would top what the audience is imagining.

mmm...don't have misgivings about SPiner, but the character. A psuedo-Catholic character espousing beliefs allegedly held by the Crusaders, and he is a villain against the Jewish leader of Warehouse 13? mmm....not so impressed, but will give it a try.
