BREAKING NEWS: Japan Earthquake

These big ones sure are becoming more frequent.

Not really. This was only a 7.0 magnitude, of which approximately 18 or are expected to hit around the world globally. That's based on average rates since the 1930s, a rate that has been more or less constant since then. Source.

Anyway, glad to hear that no one was hurt. Thankfully in developed countries like Japan, the infrastructure is well-adapted to quakes.

I fucking hate the news agencies right now since they scared the shit out of me. My sis is in Sendai, which is a coastal city northeast of Tokyo and I was really scared they had been hit. And then it's it's down in Okinawa and NO ONE was injured even?

Not to news agencies: don't report if you don't have any actual news that affects people in some way.

^^^ They couldn't help getting panicky after the disaster in Haiti. Besides, sometimes you don't get the details right away with regards to the damage and casualties.

 I'm laughing because I am (was) in a similar situation. Must be a slow news day.
