Huh. Odd. It sure does seem that way, doesn't it?

By the way. Cousin Oliver gets to be the only one in Brady Bunch History to say "sex." Stew on that one for a while. ;)

Watch it with the sound off. He doesn't say it.

There's an odd editing dead sound in there and watch his lips.

I know; I was convinced. But watch it with the sound entirely off, and you'll see he never says it.

That was kind of funny. I like how, no matter whether he said it or not, I've just been conditioned to hear that word when a dead silence or a bleep occur. This Sesame Street video had me laughing until I cried:

"I ____ slowly, slowly, slowly getting faster. Once I started ____ing, it's very hard to stop."

You can hear the end of the "ng" right after the dead sound before he says "morning" too. And "Bobby" gives him a quick glance when he says it.

LOL. I own the entire Brady Bunch set. Had this happened, I'd have remembered it.

That was one of the crap episodes, BTW.

Isn't it the one where Alice's (something-related who, IIRC, was also played by Ann B. Davis) filled in for her while she was away and was all drill-sergeant like towards the Bradys?

I always found it odd that they had a live-in nanny/maid in the first place. And her "room" looked to be nothing more than a modified laundry closet. Poor woman. Being an an architect and a home maker must have paid really well in the 60's to afford to feed nine mouths, one of them your housekeeper/nanny who also requires a salary and that huge home of theirs.

Huge home? It had three bedrooms and two bathrooms; one of the bathrooms being in the master bedroom.

My home is bigger than that. :p

It actually had two had washing/shower rooms. Not a single toilet in the place. But aside from the number of bedrooms and bathrooms it was a very large home. The bedrooms were modest sized, but it had a really large living room/dining room, a spacious kitchen, and a large family room. Not to mention the den (which we could probably argue was really another bedroom) and the maid's suite/laundry area in the back of the house.

Oh and the attic which was easily converted into a large fourth (or fifth?) bedroom. So, yeah, the number of rooms was small but it had some serious square footage in it! ;)

After studying and analyzing the video back and forth, over and over again, I can safely say that Mike Brady does not say anything naughty. Only time he said "fucking _______" was when he would bitch about the script to Sherwood Schwartz.

"What is this fucking garbage we're filming today? Who is Cousin fucking Oliver??"

Don't forget about the attic when talking about the house. That attic was so awesome, they fought over it.

    ;)

BUT! Don't forget. Early on Greg was needing more space, or there was some other argument over space, and Mike told Carol that the attic would only be useful if he was 2-feet tall. Suggesting a cramped, short crawlspace of an attic. Not the large room it apparently was that effectively made the brady home a 3-story house.
