Bradley Cooper, Satan, vs. Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer

Hollywood, is this any way to treat Milton? Maybe they have him confused with Milton Bradley.

Legendary Pictures is negotiating with Benjamin Walker to play the archangel Michael in Paradise Lost, the action epic battle between good and evil that is inspired by the John Milton poem. Walker, who just wrapped the title role in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, will go mano a mano against Bradley Cooper's Lucifer in what I'm told is the war that began all wars. After being cast out of Heaven, Lucifer mounts an army that battles the forces of good, and the film will have cutting-edge visual effects that will make these battles resemble 300 meets Lord of the Rings -- but with winged warriors.
Well, I'm sold. I'm getting in line now. :rommie: :bolian:

I've said this project was a stupid idea from the start. If told with any integrity at all, there isn't a shred of jeopardy.

Comingsoon posted concept art of Lucifer a couple of weeks ago and he looked incredibly creepy. I decided I was sold on this after seeing it.

I think Cooper is far more clever and has a wider range than people give him credit for. He always comes across as intelligent in interviews and seems very passionate about this project.

He wants to adapt Hyperion, I've been told. We'll see how this 'smarter' version of the guy who was that doofus in those Hangover movies plays out.

So the focus is on books five and six. Works for me. I wonder how that shift of emphasis will figure in to the Adam and Eve stuff, assuming that's even still in the movie.

I went into Limitless with low expectations and went out with "oh better than I thought it would be."

They've sad in the past that they won't be doing any of that, because it would mean an R-rating.

I really doubt that's the only or even primary reason (particularly as that can be handwaved by leaves, etc.) and more that they want an epic action film about the War in Heaven.

Which is probably a good idea, at that.
