Books that poke fun at ST (in a lighthearted way)

I am looking for titles of books (not necessarily novels) that poke fun, in a lighthearted sort of way, at Star Trek and its fans. In other words, books that don't take ST, or themselves, too seriously; and, hopefully, neither will their readers.

Examples of such books that I already own include:

Fun with Kirk and Spock
The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers
The Nitpicker's Guide for Next Generation Trekkers, Volume II

I'm also aware of the following:

The Nitpicker's Guide for Classic Trekkers
The Nitpicker's Guide for Deep Space Nine Trekkers
Warped: An Engaging Guide to the Never-Aired 8th Season (soon(?) to be released)

Do you know of any other such books?

(I'm currently re-watching TNG while reading both volumes of The Nitpicker's Guide, finding out about all of the problems with an episode after watching that episode.)

The Compmetely Useless and Unauthorised Star Trek Encyclopedia. It is very funny and sometimes hits a bit close to the truth.

I haven't read it, but there's Kevin David Anderson's Night of the Living Trekkies.

The book trailer (linked here) is truly wonderful!

"Trek or Treat" is a famous funny captions book.

You already know the novel, "How Much for Just the Planet?" and are aware that it has show tunes (because you helped track them down):

I became aware of the "Who Was That Monolith I Saw You With?" cartoons of Michael Goodwin in a Joan Winston-edited pro paperback called "Startoons" (Playboy Press, 1979), and I tracked down the original book in the 80s, and later found a sequel. Lots of Trek fun:

Also in "Startoons" is a slighted altered version of the infamous early fanzine, "A Star Trek Primer", which predates "Fun With Kirk and Spock" by decades. This was a commercial but unlicensed version, so names had to be changed, eg. Christine Chapel, pursuing her Vulcan with a butterfly net, had to become "Christmas Chippie". Written by first fandom's Paula Smith and illustrated by Phil Foglio.

The original version:

Gene Roddenberry called it "'an affront' to fans who take ST too seriously..."

Paula was also the creator of Mary Sue in 1974:

What about Scalzi's Redshirts? I haven't read it, nor am I likely to, but it would seem to fit the OP's bill.

I just remembered, while not exactly "books" in the usual sense of the word, the following links contain lists (one each) of a whole bunch of ST parodies and other humorous references:

I own a copy of the "Absolutely MAD" DVD-ROM by GIT Corp (the same company that produces the ST comics DVD-ROM), and have read many (most?) of the applicable entries from the second link above.

Along the lines of Fun with Kirk and Spock, there's a Very Klingon Khristmas that was published last year.

One of the Doctor Who New Adventures novels in the 90s featured a culture with transporter technology, and it was revealed that the tech was actually killing the people and replacing them with identical clones, which was clearly commentary on Star Trek's transporters. I found it a fun read that didn't feel unfriendly towards Trek even if it did deconstruct an iconic Trek element.

Well, I went to the local bookstore today to order 4 of the books mentioned so far in this thread. Each book has a different status as to when it will be available:

1) Warped: An Engaging Guide to the Never-Aired 8th Season

As expected, this book won't be available until next month.

2) Night of the Living Trekkies

This title was in stock at both warehouses, and should be in by the end of next week.

3) A Very Klingon Khristmas

Even though it was published as recently as 2013, it appears to be out of print. :klingon:That is so dishonorable!:klingon: Anyway, I was still able to order it from another bookstore, through the local bookstore (think interlibrary loan for bookstores), albeit for a slightly higher price ($3-$4), which I did. 5 to 8 business days.

4) Redshirts

Even though I had every intent to do so, I ended up not ordering this book. Why not? Because they already had it in stock! So, of course, I bought it today.

Keep the ideas coming. Someday, I hope to buy many/most/all of the older, (long) out-of-print titles.
