Bookie refuses to pay out £7 million on snow bet

Bookmaker Ladbrokes is refusing to pay out more than 7 million pounds to a man who gambled on a white Christmas across the UK, as the bet was accepted by mistake.

I have never placed a bet in my life so i do not know anything about Bookies or the Independent Betting Adjudication.
But surly if they took his money and waited till he won the bet to void it they have to pay.

They absolutely would have come down on this guy if the situation had been reversed and he had made a mistake. If your company makes the mistake, tough shit, pay up. It's not like this is some small business that will have to shut down if they cover this, this is probably just a drop in the bucket for them.

It reminds me of that insurance company that tried to weasel out of paying a guy for making a full-court basketball shot for a million dollars several years ago.

I think it's time to send Vito and Sonny down there to break some kneecaps.
