So this nerd is shot in the face so hard he splinters backwards nude into four different eras (1894, 1942, 2023 and 2053) of White Chapel London, where the local police officers of each distant decade sleuth the murder to the best of their abilities, having no idea that their investigations are crisscrossing over the top of each other.

More Law and Order than Star Trek, but I like it so far.

They should have just called it Doctor Who: Special Victims Unit..;)
 
I actually found it quite enjoyable. I found myself with some time on my hands this weekend while the wife was doing theater stuff and binged it off and on. The ending was satisfactory and tied up most of the ends, while leaving some possibility for a second season.

I've seen the comic on Comixology, but I had no idea they had done an adaptation.
 
I just finished this today.

It looks like no spoilers in this thread, but I have a couple of questions.

At the end, how is Maplewood (the 2023 version) still there? Shouldn’t she have disappeared? Does that mean the plan wasn’t entirely successful? Also, was it ever explained why Elias’ plan required Esther to die?

Finished watching this last night. It's not bad. Drags a bit in the middle. In regards to....

The time travel parts, it's well planned out but the ending where people just disappear and reset everything is kinda a long way to go about doing a simple thing. Stop the bad guy doing something to reset the timeline. The series tries to be very clever but the basic plot is fairly routine when you boil it down.

As for Elias, if this is a timeloop shouldn't his genes be decaying at a cellular level since it's the same DNA been passed down again and again? Like the whole "Kirk's glasses" thing. If they really were the same glasses they would be impossibly old. So after one too many loops Elias would be the shining example of inbreeding taken to it's limits.
 
I stopped and started it, watched the first few episodes but then got distracted by other things. Was glad I went back to it because I thought it got better the longer it went on and I like that Stephen Graham wasn't your typical bad guy.

@Saul I didn't see there being multiple loops. I assumed it was just one loop so I don't see how it would degrade? Unless I'm being really dense, which is always possible :lol:
