Blockbuster Online

So the last two Blockbuster Video stores near me are closing and selling off all their inventory (tables and display racks included). Someone even wanted to buy the restroom sign (shaped like a movie clapper board) but the manager said she really still kinda needed it for a while lol.

I found Casablanca on blu ray for 10 bucks (even though it was supposed to still be $30 since it's "out of print," but they honored the $10 price) and then they offered me 3 months free with Blockbuster Online. Why not? Figured I'd give it a try since blu rays and games are included at no extra charge.

I created a queue of basically all the blu rays I could find that interested me. I came up with a list of 27 titles. ONE is Available. One each are listed as Short wait and Long wait. Every other title I chose is listed as Unavailable...

What the hell? Certainly not a service I would pay for, and certainly not a service I would brag about including blu rays at no extra charge when I can't even find 2 titles I might want.

Anyone else use Blockbuster Online? Just curious. I hadn't been planning on keeping it after the free trial, but if I can't even get a movie, I may just cancel immediately.

I used it. Same sort of thing, a store was closin' near me, and I went in to buy used DVDs. The guy said I could get four of 'em free if I signed up for a one month trial membership with the online service. I agreed, and didn't have a problem with it at all.

I especially liked the in-store exchange I could use to rent newer titles.

I would still be usin' it, but didn't have the money to pay for a monthly membership, and haven't always been near a Blockbuster for exchanges the last year. Its on the list of things to get when I start makin' money again...

I tried it for a little while. I had the same problem -nothing was available. I'm sticking with Netflix.
