Blast from the Past: 10 Facts About Yourself

^^ That's a shame. :( I think that happens to a lot of people when they pursue their art as a career; do you spend any time doing your own thing, or is it all spent on work?

2. I realized my drivers license wasn't in my wallet a few months ago and haven't bothered to replace it, because I'm confident that I will never be pulled over.

Based on a true story. Everything had expired for more than a year (except for the credit card-- I made that up) and I was never pulled over once.

10. I collect Roaring 20s artistic nudes.

Yeah. "Artistic." Sure. ;)
Heh. Yes, very artistic. One of the reasons I prefer nudes from that era is that they exhibit much more artistry (nice painted backdrops and such), although if you search for artistic nudes on deviantArt it is possible to come up with some nice contemporary stuff.

None of my full time employment jobs have ever lasted more than three years.

My six month contracting job lasted 15 years.

I've done thousands of psychic readings, the most famous person I've read was Jerry Garcia, he happened to show up at a reading festival I was at and I ended up doing one of the readings he got that day.

I have a private pilots license.

I have trouble writing what I'm thinking before the thoughts slip away. Hence my lack of posting.

In real life I talk, a lot. (Business, teaching and all around chatting)

I had childhood rheumatoid arthritis, it was the reason my family moved from Pennsylvania to California.

I once took a road trip across the US with my best friend and sky blue 65 Mustang...there are many stories.

I've dived lava tubes in Hawaii.

I have trouble memorizing anything with numbers, I still have to make up the times tables as I go.

I decided to do one on my geeky life.

1. Saw Star Wars a total of seven times in the movie theater. Three times with my mom, she still considers it the best movie ever made.

2. I know exactly where I was when Star Trek: The Next Generation premiered. I had just arrived in Alaska, stationed there with the US Air Force.

3. I can remember buying my first copy of Dungeons & Dragons at Tony's Stationary in my home town of Hawthorne NJ. I still had the original dice up until a few years ago, when I lost them in one of my many moves.

4. Speaking of Dungeons & Dragons, I played a cowardly Archer-Ranger who had a 1 in 20 chance of running from a fight. I always had to roll a D20 at the start of any combat, if I got a 1 I had to run from the battle.

5. The same year Star Wars premiered, my friends and I put on a performance of Star Wars for our families. I of course played Darth Vader. I wore my mother purple valore long jacket and a pair of her sunglasses. I can remembering sitting in one of our wingback chairs, rocking it back and forth to portray the part where Vader was hit and spun away by Han Solo at the end, just before blowing up the Death Star.

6. I have done security at many conventions in NYC and New Jersey. I got to be personal security for many of the cast members of the various incarnations of Star Trek plus many other science fiction shows. My personal favorite was Jonathan Harris, his last con in NYC before he died. I escorted him back to his hotel room at the NY Pennsylvania Hotel, when we got there he asked if I could come in and keep him company until some family or friends arrived. Of course I did and I spent the next hour or so just talking about his time in Hollywood. Its a memory I really hold dear.

7. I submitted three spec scripts to ST:TNG when they had the open submission policy. None were ever picked up and produced.

8. My all time favorite Star Trek character is Odo, followed very closely by Worf.

9. I saw the Star Trek: Generations movie at the Sunday morning matinee, first showing and I was the only person in the theater.

10. I made a complete Kosh costume for the costume contest at Shore-Leave convention in Maryland.

5. I am a fairly easy going guy who doesn't take a lot of BS. I roll with the punches and I am fairly accommodating of other people, but I have no problems telling them to bugger off if their shit starts to get ridiculous.
6. I am deathly scared of tarantulas. I can't even be in the same room as a caged one. One time I thought one was in my room and I didn't go into there for a week. I couldn't stop shaking for an hour. It turned out to be a rat.
7. I am a fairly decent musician as I am a classically trained Double Bassist (having played in my university orchestra), I played in a swing band in High School, have played drums in a rock band before and am currently playing guitar/bass in a band.

10. Even though my last name means "Dark Foreigner", I am fairly light skinned.

After this last year, 5 is so true. I've dropped a few friends because of the incessant drama and been close to dropping one more.
