Blakes 7 a going concern again

Ooh, that's interesting. I'll definitely look into getting the novels, not as sure about the audios (I know it's a daft reason not to but the price tag tends to put me off :alienblush: )

Hmm, wonder if they'll ever open submissions to novel ideas...

They're only doing two a year, and probably have about a dozen commissioned already...

Your link doesn't work, because that last hyphen got left out of the brackets. Once I added the hyphen at the end, though, it went through.

To whom do I need to sacrifice small mammals to so there'll be a Region 1 DVD release of Blake's 7?

To Lonemagpie: looking forward to your guidebook!

NO!!

How am I supposed to make my own RTD style continuation some day then?

By giving in and enjoying my Ron Moore style reboot instead. :D

Let me guess, Avon's a woman now? ;)

I'm amazed regions still exist. Can you not get region free DVD players in the US? I know you can over here, and frankly these days they're ridiculously cheap as well, again over here in the UK, I appreciate the situation might be a lot different over there.

Autumn 2012, or thereabouts - I'll have two nonfiction books out, Standard By 7 and... another one which won't be announced until next July (i.e. after the manuscript's delivered)

Nope, cheap DVD Players here in the States are Region Locked. If you get an expensive, fancy-schmancy one, and know what you're doing, you can program it for Region 0 (I think) and it will play most DVDs from any region.

After searching and waiting for about 5 years, I finally gave up waiting for Region 1 sets and resorted to other means

Finding a player that can play region 2 DVDs isn't difficult just make sure it also has a chip set that can convert from PAL to NTSC. I have a Philips player that does this and I've seen it on sale for as little as $30. Just import the region 2 DVDs they are cheaper than ever and well worth the price even though the packaging is on the cheap side the content is excellent and that is what matters most.

It's illegal to sell region locked players in New Zealand. They have to be region-free by government legislation.
