    What happened to the portion of the star that didn't get devoured and actually faded to black?

    I would have thought that the core would continue as a white dwarf if it had enough mass to remain in a degenerate state. Just guessing...

    You know what that animation reminds me of? The old DS9 Companion had a drawing that I think was supposed to represent the Bajoran Wormhole, that looked a lot like that. But that's awesome. :D

    A couple ol weeks ago I found a brand new condition copy at a year-round yard sale for $8. It's an awesome book, really one best Star Trek books ever.
