Birthday clusters in your family

In my family the majority of birthdays occur in February and August. In February we even have three birthdays on the same day - mine, a niece and a nephew.

i am glad that i don't have a birthday cluster in December. One of my friends has three family birthday leading up to Christmas including one on Christmas Eve.

Do you have such clusters in your family or are your family birthdays more evenly disributed?

^ do you include cousins and their families?

I have to think about it. I'm not sure

The only real cluster in my immediate family is in June where my birthday and my mom's are four days apart.

All my cousins seem to have birthdays in August or September.

On my husband's side, his mom, his aunt, and his cousin (aunt's son) all have a birthday on the exact same day.

I didn't include my cousins because I am not that close to them and because i actually have about 40 first cousins. However if you are close to your cousins to actually know and celebrate their birthdays, by all means include them.

Quite a few folk in my family have birthdays around September (myself included). Clearly, we tend to have a lot of Merry Christmases, Happy New Years, and Not So Bleak Midwinters...

My nephew and I have very close birthdays (his is May 3, mine is May 22), but other than that, my family is quite variable in that manner.

We've got a cluster around December and January - my daughter's birthday is in December on the same day as my mum, and my son's birthday is in January as is my older sister.

The Christmas period is very busy in my house!

Two of my elder brother's daughters are born on april 14th (they're not twins, actually, they're separated by 13 years) and my birthday is 3 days later (in the case someone wants to send me a gift  ).

I have just worked out the figures for my family i.e. parents, siblings, my sons, my sisters' children. There are 16 people in total.

Jan - 1
Feb - 5 (all between 18th to 27th)
March - 0
April - 1
May - 0
June - 1
July - 1
Aug - 4
Sep - 2
Oct - 1
Nov - 0
Dec -0

Though, as my parents have now both passed away, we have one less in August and none in April.

We have a couple of birthday clusters in my family...

The end of August has my sister, my uncle and my cousin all within about 5 days of each other.

The other is kinda spread out so it's not as clustered, but they're still fairly close. My paternal Grandpa's birthday was October 12th, mine is October 27th, my maternal Grandpa's was October 31st and my paternal Grandma's birthday is November 14th. Since both my grandpas have passed it's not so crowded in October any more.

The odd coincidence in my family is the 27s. My maternal Grandma's birthday was May 27, my sisters are July 27 and August 27 and mine is October. Add in my parent's anniversary on December 27 and nearly half the year has something going on on the 27th.

My wife, my daughter, and I all have birthdays within a two week period.

We're all Capricorns, which makes for a fun household.

My mother and both of her siblings were all born within a 12-day span in December/January (December 24, 25, and Jan 3). On my dad's side, he, his father, one of his brothers, a cousin are all in January. My other cousin and I were both born on May 29th, 12 years apart.

Neither side of the family really do much (at least in-family) for birthdays other than maybe an e-card or phone call, so it's not really an issue. We're fairly spread out in terms of both geography and age, and don't even gather every year for the holidays let alone birthdays.

Interestingly, of my 15 immediate family members (including grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and parents), at least 8 were born on or within 2 days of a holiday of some sort. :vulcan:

I have a birthday cluster in my family around December (from the 11th to the 229th) which means that between birthdays and Christmas, I have to sell one organ every year to provide for gifts (thankfully, it doesn't need to be necessarily one of my organs... :shifty:). I have another cluster around late January-early February for my inner circle of friends: we usually throw a party for that and call it the Multi-Birthday Celebration.

We have in my immediate family (brother, me, parents, grandparents):

- 1 in September
- 3 in January
- 1 in December
- 1 in April

Extended family is more spread out, but we do have someone with a birthday on December 25th, and a newly-born cousin of mine on 9th December, plus a lot of my friends have winter birthdays.

Basically, the last four months of the year. I wouldn't exactly call that a cluster, but it makes it busy for me. From the last week of August to Dec. 16, there's an important birthday almost every week:
Hubby's birthday
My best friend's birthday
My birthday
My mom's birthday
Hubby's friend's birthday
My twin nieces' birthday
My sister's birthday
My friend's birthday
My nephew's birthday
then Christmas. PHEW!

The large majority of birthdays in my family are within January and February. My mom is not too far off with a birthday in late December. The only outliers are a grandma and sister who were born in August, and another grandma in October.

Immediate family (brother, wife, neices, nephews, and great neices and nephews:

3 February
several Sept.
Several Nov.
2 June

and I can't remember the others. :D
