BIONIC DVDs ARE COMING!!!!!

I wonder just what will be included with the 6Mil DVDs?

When the story of Steve Austin started, it was only a few occasional "movie of the week" type showings, and if memory serves at first they didn't even depict him as former military. Seem to recall him being a civilian test pilot. It was later, once the weekly series started, that they called him Colonel Austin.

Also, in the original movie, Oscar wasn't even there. Some other character was in the "boss/govt. man" roll.

I wonder just what the first DVD set will include?

If I had to hazzard a guess, the first "season" set would include the three telemovies:

CYBORG: THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN
WINE, WOMEN AND WAR
THE SOLID GOLD KIDKNAPPING

and the 13 episodes from the first regular season:

POPULATION ZERO
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
OPERATION FIREFLY
DAY OF THE ROBOT
LITTLE ORPHAN AIRPLANE
DOOMSDAY AND COUNTING
EYEWITNESS TO MURDER
THE RESCUE OF ATHENA ONE
DR. WELLS IS MISSING
THE LAST OF THE FOURTH OF JULYS
BURNING BRIGHT
THE COWARD
RUN STEVE RUN

Six Million Dollar Man & Bionic Woman special features

Kenneth Johnson (producer/writer on Six Million Dollar Man, and creator/producer/writer on Bionic Woman) has revealed at his website yesterday that he will shortly be recording on-camera interviews for The Bionic Woman, as well as commentary tracks for BW episodes "The Ghosthunter" (the season one finale with guest star Kristy McNichol) and "Doomsday is Tomorrow" (a two-part story that aired midway through the show's second season). Will Kenny be alone in recording extras? Nope, we hear that he'll have company, including cast members as well as other behind-the-scenes crew. We don't have specific names for you yet, because nothing's locked in or recorded just yet.

Just thought I'd post these details from the already mentioned link from the OP if you hadn't checked out the link.
I really like renting the pilots from old TV shows on Netflix when there is a commentary.

Now that this legal battle is over I still have my fingers crossed for
'Batman' 1966-68 live-action TV series wish for Blu-ray/DVD as it is legally also between 2 studios with ownership and licensing.

Always nice to see Alan Oppenheimer, though. He was a much cooler Rudy Wells than Martin E. Brooks, because he went on to be Skeletor!
Alan was an old schoolmate of my Dad's! Just saw him last year at a memorial service, and he still looks the same as he did on SMDM! It's like he aged to that point and went no further.

I had the great good fortune of directing Alan as a VO artist several years ago - a tremendously nice man and a thorough professional.
