If bill and ted can instantly manipulate the universe around them by saying theyll travel back and forth later to set up a situation in their favor in their current precise time effectively making them gods, then why cant they see how much kids love cinnamon toast crunch?

The Bill & Ted universe has/had a lot of potential for really good story telling and time travel shenanigans... the short lived comic book stories starting this... but alas.. not mean to be.
I'd love to see a prequel movie/story about Rufus when he was younger.. that the fairly straight and rule-abiding history teacher (I think that is his job, based on second movie) was perhaps more Han Solo like in his youth.. running around time somewhat carelessly.
