Big Finish snag Kate Winslet

I think Colin is playing an unbound version of himself currently.

It's weirder than that. Probably the strangest set of stories they ever released complete with a fourth wall breaking ending. I can't believe that it's what they originally planned and wonder if the 'no more Unbounds' rule forced them to bring it to a swift unplanned end.

Awesome that Big Finish got Kate Winslet but it's a pity it's not for Doctor Who (although not a surprise).

I hadn't heard about Big Finish getting a "no more Unbounds" mandate. When did that come up and why?

Just another reminder that in waaaay behind on my Big Finish audios. :(

How so ? Spoiler if necessary !

Hmm... I wonder how well Kate Winslet and Christopher Eccleston got along when they made Jude, an adaptation of Thomas Hardy's Jude the Obscure, a few years back. It'd be pretty cool to have her work with him for BF.

Sadly, Eccleston is finished with BF now; though he's still got three box-sets and an appearance in their 60th Anniversary release to be come. Not because of any problems with them but because any future scripts would be going to his arch-enemy for approval.

Has anyone officially said as much? About him leaving, that is, not about RTD having script approval.

I believe he said at a convention that he would be meeting his current commitments (which I think was two more box-sets at that point) and then would be done after that.

Dang. Still, maybe the possibility of working with Kate Winslet would make a difference. That would probably get more publicity than the average Doctor Who audio, which is not a bad thing for an actor's career.
