Beyond deleted scene

God, that was a good line. I'm sad to see Pegg and Jung leave as writers.
The beginning scene with those paranoid tiny aliens is too funny. Just the way the little guy said 'and eat us!', and Kirk's face when he was ready to face a giant only to see a little being. Comical.
The ending with 'Kevin' was a nice touch.

They don't have hair dye in the 23rd century?
Apparently not because Spock had to wear an ugly wig ;)

(Would hair dye be still popular? They probably just use a device that alters the molecules of the hair changing the pigmentation of hair follicles without using chemical products. Saves time and doesn't damage hair. ;) Kirk must have used a similar device for his eyes ;) )

Here is Mira with Scotty in the lounge scene.

How do we know that this is Lt. Romaine?

Because the other scene said Scotty was going on a date with Mira Romaine, Occam's Razor tells us that when we see him on a date with a woman, she is in fact Mira Romaine. Or does strict adherence to Almighty Canon mean we're not allowed to make intuitive guesses based on pure logic?

I don't know. I don't even know what Occam's Razor is.

This post feels overly aggressive.

Mattman didn't even mention the word canon.

I don't know. I don't even know what Occam's Razor is.
It's a principle used in philosophy for problem-solving. Basically: the more assumptions one requires for a deduction to be true, the less likely it becomes that that deduction will be the correct one.

Or, in other words:
It means the simplest explanation is the truth.
Usually, anyway. Shortest distance between two points, and all that.

This post feels overly aggressive.
It looks like regular-strength Wormhole to me. I don't think there's any cause for concern.

The love story of Scotty and Mira is my absolute favorite, so I just about had a cow  when I learned of the deleted scene where Scotty turns down having a drink with Kirk because he has a dinner date with Lt. Romaine. Who the he** decided to cut out that scene? Are they nuts? :brickwall: (I mention this scene in my blog http://defendinglightsofzetar.blogspot.com). But I am confused about something. Is the scene where he is at the table with a blonde Mira Romaine (which is weird in itself) in the soon to be released DVD? I certainly don't remember seeing it when it was showing in theaters.

The scene with Mira at the table is from the end of the movie, Scotty excuses himself (leaving her with Keenser) to speak to Jaylah and offer her a spot at Starfleet Academy. You never see her face.
