Better program for managing iPod Classic than iTunes?

I'm a recently new iPod Classic owner and I was wondering what other programs are out there that I can use to manage my iPod media content? Maybe I'm not that used to iTunes or don't know how to use it properly, but I find it very difficult to manage my media content by syncing than adding and deleting to the internal drive like you'd do with a flash drive or so. Thanks!

You can switch syncing of in the Summary tab of you listed iPod in iTunes by selecting "manually manage music and videos" if you have iTunes 7.+.

But beware, if you already synced some music already, it get's deleted and you have to copy all your wanted music again by manually dragging it from you iTunes library to the iPod.

I don't know of another programme to handel the iPod's library, but I also find iTunes quite good. But I'm coming from a Mac, so I really didn't need to look somewhere else.

But I understand your frustration with all the Synci stuff. I always turn it off, when I connect a new iPod, especially when I only want one library.
