It premiered today just before Lost. I wasn't going to watch it because the commercials looked kind of lame. It's a sitcom about the research division of some giant omni-corp. The comedy type is similar to Andy Richter Controls the universe, sort of out of the realm of reality but not on the level of something like the Naked Gun movies. So, for example the pilot involves freezing one of the scientist for 2 years, but then at the same time we aren't going to see Darth Helmet slash the director.

I thought it was pretty good, I liked all the characters except for the main characters daughter, who came off as obnoxious instead of cute. The main love interest is cute and funny. Portia DeRossi from Arrested Development plays sort of a female Jack Donaghy, and does an really good job. The company seems to be like the Senior Partners on the Angel show, heard about but not seen. There's also one of the office guys from Andy Richter controls the universe, who seems to be playing the same character.

So did anyone else like the show?

I didn't see it either, I meant to DVR it, and I just forgot. Will check it out next week though.

I was going to skip it until a) it got good reviews, b) I learned it was from the makers of Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and c) I found it it aired between Scrubs and LOST on the same channel :p It was pretty good, I'll definitely keep watching.

I too was going to skip it, from the commercials it looked horrid. However I found myself at 8:30 and nothing to watch so I put it on. I have to say, I'm glad I did. I really, really like it. Enough to set up the DVR to record it every week and my DVR is reserved for things I only like. I really liked the characters, the quick witted dialog and it was damn funny. I'm very glad to have not skipped it.

Lol, I guess it's not a good sign that so few people watched it. But at least the people that did watch it liked it. I'm surprised considering they scheduled it as the lead in to Lost. But then the commercials they made for it were pretty terrible. I would have maybe put the creamer scene and more of portia derossi in the commercial as the main character is a bit bland compared to everyone else.

It kept getting more and more absurd as it went on...which I kind of liked, but which might also get stale if they keep trying to out-absurd themselves each episode.

Better than expected...it really didn't seem to get a whole lot of advance promotion, though. And Portia deRossi was so different from her Lindsay Funke character on AD that I almost didn't recognize her at first!

I wanted to like it better than I actually did like it, but it was still pretty good. I have a feeling the absurdity was amped up a bit for the pilot because, let's face it, it's a tough one. You have to introduce everyone, set up the tone, give the show a little direction, and still have a plot in like 22 minutes. I think later episodes will not have to try quite so hard and will be good. The supporting cast (except for the blond love interest) were all good, especially the scientists.
