Best Trek Season 5

Deep Space Nine followed by The Next Generation and then Voyager.

Rewatching this again, I came to realize, that this IS the best season of DS9, and the very best season of Modern Trek. Really, killer opening, killer cliffhanger (the best since "The Best of Both Worlds"), killer middle, and killer all-around episodes... This is a great, great season. And I even enjoy "Let He Who is Without A Sin" quite a bit.

Yep, definitely the best season in the history of Modern Trek.

I don't see how anyone can call DS9-5 season perfection with forgettable mediocre episodes like A Simple Investigation, Ferengi Love Songs, Empok Nor or awful outings like LHWIWS or Looking for Par'Mach or what about only passable fare like The Assignment or Doctor Bashir, I Presume with a horrendous B-plot and a half-realized A-plot.

Of those episodes you mention, the only one in that group I really have a problem with is Ferengi Love Songs and maybe Let He Who is Without Sin. I know I'm one of the only few people who thinks the latter isn't that bad but then again I also think TNG's Masks is one of that seasons best episodes too. Go figure.

Seriously though, Other than the two mentioned, the ones you list I find really enjoyable, including The Assignment for the scifi element or Par'Mach to see Grilka again.

this was a close one but tng just gets my vote for best of season five though i must admit ds9 was pretty much the same
