best Romulan..EVER

I have to take Mark Lenard's original character (who is called Keras in some ficton and was my avatar for a LONG time) out of the running since Mark basically originated the standard Romulan with that role and it's hard to stack anyone up to the original.

As far as developed Romulan characters, I'd say Carolyn Seymour's Toreth and John Fleck's Koval were the best of the contemporary Romulans.

Honorable non-fully fleshed out mentions to Tal (of course), Martha Hackett's T'Rul and Adrienne Barbeau's more interesting version of Cretak (IMHO).

:rommie:

1- Tomalek, because I love the way he used to say "Captain Picaaaaaaarrrrrd" and sneer at the crew on the viewscreen. Also, I cannot not love a guy who wanted to display the Enterprise's broken hull as a war trophy.

2- Vreenak, because he found out it was a "FAAAAAAAKE" and his line about his opinion of Starfleet being so low that Sisko would have work hard to disappoint him, was an uber-bitchy put-down.

3- The Romulan who sealed the Enterprise in the asteroid with Pegasus, because he was so smug and ice cool, and were it not for some uber-technology, he would have had their number for sure.
