List your favorite media moments of the past year. This could be anything from a line of dialogue to some celebrity snafu.

Here are some of my favorites (includes SPOILERS!):

"I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture." - Andrew Ryan, Bioshock

Ben Wade killing his 2nd in Command - 3:10 to Yuma

Any Scene with Tim Meadows and Drugs - Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Alyx crying over her father's body - Half Life: Episode 2

Cyclops revealing his plan and showing just why he's the leader - Astonishing X-Men #23

Ok, that should get the ball rolling.

Wall to wall SPOILERS!

Heroes

Noah's goodbye to Claire at the end of Company Man.

Emo Bang hits the floor in Parasite. :rommie:

Claire resurrects Peter in .07%

Matt murders Noah in Five Years Gone.

Nathan was Sylar all along in Five Years Gone.

"Now is usually the part where people start screaming." - Sylar

The Petrelli brothers go out with a bang in How to Stop an Exploding Man. (yeah I know it was a big cheat but their scene together was beautiful!)

Matt discovers he has the uncanny ability to get Molly to finish her cereal.

Mohinder shoots Noah through the eye!!! Whoah!!! (Is Noah the new Daniel Jackson or what? Can't keep the guy dead!)

"Hello, Dr. Suresh. What happened to your nose?" - Sylar again

Lost

From Tricia Tanaka is Dead

Sawyer shares a beer with "Roger."

Hurley gets the van going - on the road to Shambala. :D

From Through the Lookingglass

Jack's epic rant at Mr. Friendly that he's going to kill him for (apparently) murdering Sayid, Jin and Bernard.

Sayid snaps that guy's neck with no hands!

Hurley saves the day! Dude!

NOT PENNY'S BOAT

BSG

The whooooole ending sequence of Crossroads - the Cylons, Starbuck, Earth, Bob Dylan...!!!!!

I Am Legend

The scene where Neville "puts down" Sam. :( Whole theater was crying!

And the subsequent scene where he begs the mannequin to talk to him - purely for Will Smith's performance.

Comics:
  • The whole of "The Sinestro Corps War."
  • Booster Gold trying to un-do "The Killing Joke"
  • 52 Multiverses

Doctor Who
  • "The Angels have the phone box". That's my favourite; I've got that on a t-shirt!
  • "Time Crash"
  • "Use my name." "Master...I'm sorry."

- The last ten minutes or so of "Crossroads Part II"

Dave Letterman ragging on the AMPTP on Wednesday...the best single part was the guy who appeared as the "lawyer" who negotiated the deal.

He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm in the heart of the sun.
He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and he can see the turn of the universe
And.......He's wonderful.

- The death of Captain America and the subsequent story (Captain America #25-present).

I forgot to mention "Revolution" from Across the Universe. I love how they framed it. That cover is now my preferred version of that song. "With A Little Help From My Friends" was also great in reminding me of all the fun I have with my friends.

"Still Alive" is the most addictive song ever. I think my girlfriend and I played that 600 times.

Sorry for reviving a decently old thread... damn you search function!!

Same here, although I can't for the life of me remember what my signature was at the time.

- Every single second of Hot Fuzz

Agreed. Hot Fuzz is a perfectly constructed movie. Every individual piece, while not necessarily funny on its own, combines to form the Swiss watch masterpiece of all comedy. "Tah-dah...";)

The interrogation of Gaius Baltar in "Taking a Break from All Your Worries."
"Is she an angel or a demon? Is she my own voice or the voice of..."

Apollo's monologue in the courtroom in "Crossroads, Part 2."
"We're not a civilization anymore. We're a gang."

Definately agreed with the OP who mentioned Sam's death & Neville begging the mannequin to talk to him in I Am Legend. Also add to that list his confrontation with Fred at gunpoint.
"If you're real, you better tell me right now!"

The entire 2nd trailer for The Dark Knight.
"What do we got?"
"Nothing. No name. No other alias. Clothing is custom. Nothing in his pockets by knives & lint."
"Evening, Commissioner.... WHY SO SERIOUS!?!?"
