"Best" look for Cheryl Gates McFadden? [Part 2 - movies]

I took it upon myself to pre-emptively fulfill DostoyevskyClone's intentions regarding the ever-GHSS Cheryl Gates McFadden's TNG appearances, and so this is this poll thread on her "TNG movies" looks.

I must sincerely apologize for not providing direct images on this thread, but I will provide at least two or three links per movie (courtesy of the folks at TrekCore and Memory Alpha): one for promotional images - if I can get them; one for set photos - again, if I can get them; and one for movie screencaps.

* IMO, unlike in the TV series, there is more continuity in looks. The "strawberry blonde" look is the same for both First Contact and Insurrection. *

Insurrection. I wasn't the biggest Beverly Crusher fan, but she was smoking hot in that film.

I can't actually say I have a preference. She's simply a beautiful woman, and she looks equally beautiful in all her appearances.

I voted for Generations. Personally, my taste is that long hair looks better on younger women. However, I make an exception in her case and think she looks at her best with all that hair.

ETA: that Insurrection screencap of them in their dress uniforms is so unflattering!

I concur completely, with only the one reservation that occasionally in s4 the wig is truly appalling, but that's hardly her fault.

I voted for Generations in the end. Loved her looks (what we saw of her) in the other movies too, but there's one look in Gen which knocks the others into a cocked hat. (Ba-dum tsch!)

While I note WillsBabe's remarks above, still overly long hair doesn't look right on McFadden.

My only gripe with First Contact is that, somehow, she's tanned.

Now, in regards to Nemesis, I had quite a bit of first-time gripes with a particular variant of the promotional image in which the photo is cast against a green background. Somehow, the brightness was toned down, and she looked less than GHSS against that background.

Two months ago, I was very pleasantly surprised to see the original promotional image (on Memory Alpha) - for the very first time.

Nevertheless, having her bangs down for that film was a bit of a letdown for me, and so I stuck with Insurrection.



P.S. - WillsBabe, I actually considered a larger version of your avatar as a possible screencap in regards to the Insurrection dress uniform, but somehow the turbolift screencap was more appealing to me.

^I dunno where I got it from. It's been on my HD since forever. My first thought is that it's a cap from TrekCore.
