Best Lines - Tuvok

leola

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
In the Tuvok epi thread, exodus posted a favourite Tuvok line from Innocence:

Child: "Mr. Tuvok, what are your children like?"
Tuvok: "Well behaved."

This was followed by this from I Am Not Spock, from Scientific Method,
Janeway is complaining about crewmembers not doing their jobs, and Tuvok responds with:

TUVOK: Shall I have them flogged as well?

Any other Tuvie gems? :vulcan:

Episode: Night. Scene: Briefing of the senior staff.

Neelix announces that he wouldn't mind having some tactical training in his daily routines.

Tuvok: Noted :vulcan:

Bride of Chaotica!

Paris: "Well, he's been attacking the aliens with his death ray."
Tuvok: "It's a shame we don't have one."

TUVOK at the end of Futures End Part II: Given Mister Paris's alleged familiarity with twentieth century America, it is a wonder we survived the experience at all.

In "Elogium", when the space-dwelling creatures think Voyager is a potential mate, and they roll over and vent plasma to become unattractive to the creatures, Tuvok delivers his funniest line ever:

"It appears we have lost our sex appeal, Captain."

To Harry: "Proposing the same flawed strategy over and over again will not make it more effective, Ensign."

To Tom: "Mr Paris, that is perhaps the most illogical statement you've ever made.

And the best Tuvok line ever, which makes me emotional almost everytime I see it:

"My youngest child has been without a father for four years. Yet I am certain of her well-being, that I conveyed my values to her before leaving, and I have confidence in the integrity of those around her. You have been an exemplary mother to Naomi, and she is in the hands of people you trust. She will survive and prosper, no matter what becomes of us."

I don't know if I would call this his best line, but it certainly makes me laugh.

"Your first command together was less than successful. You are all dead."

Another favorite of mine is from "Year of Hell" when he walking down the corridior w/ Seven and Neelix stops them, goes into some long tie-raid about which "Red Alert" warning he wants. After that's done, Tuvok turns to Seven and goes:

"..and you believe, you have problems."

I like in Tuvix when Neelix is trying to get Tuvok to enjoy their flower-gathering mission, and he says something like, "If only you could be less like Neelix than you usually are," or something like that. -- RR

I liked the scene in "Futures End, Part 2" when Tuvok, Tom and that girl Rain are all having like a mini picnic in CA.

"Agent Tuvok, what's up?" Rain
"Breakfast is UP" Tuvok.
 That had me rolling.

Waaay back in the pilot; They've just picked up Neelix, who is enjoying a bath and learning about the replicator...

Neelix: The replicator, can it make me clothing?
Tuvok: Yes.
Neelix: Maybe a uniform, like yours?
Tuvok: No. It most certainly will not.

The best line about Tuvok was in "Muse", where B'lanna is expalining Vulcans to the playwright. I can't quote it word for word but it was strong stuff.

He's got some pretty good lines all through the pilot. My favourite would be when he first meets Neelix in the transporter room. There's a brief look of jaw tightening then

"Perhaps you would care for a bath..."

A choice few!

----

Mr. Neelix, I would prefer not to hear the life history of my breakfast

----

Neelix - Anthraxic citrus peel, orange juice with just a hint of papalla seed extract. An experimental blend.
Tuvok - The success rate of your culinary experiments has not been high.
Neelix - Ensign Golwat tried some yesterday, and she thought it was delicious. In fact, she had a second glass, and she never has seconds.
Tuvok - Ensign Golwat is Bolian. Her tongue has a cartilaginous lining. It would protect her against even the most corrosive acid.

----

Human fascination with "fun" has led to many tragedies in your short but violent history. One wonders how your race has survived having so much "fun

----

Curious. I have never understood the Human compulsion to emotionally bond with inanimate objects. This vessel has done nothing. It is an assemblage of bulkheads, conduits, tritanium. Nothing more

When Neelix is concerned over someone breaking into the mess hall and stealing food:

Neelix: "I'd like to ask that stronger measures be taken"
Tuvok: "Perhaps an armed security detail?"

:lol::lol:
