BEST episode of Season 1, Part 1

Garth_Rockket gave me permission to use his concept to find the best episode of Trek rather than he worse as he did.

So here we go. S1 of Voyager...generally considered to be strong. What's the strongest though?

Shouldn't we have three choices in Part One, though.

Ah, it's alright. I was just wondering. That way you'll get results faster. But it makes it a lot harder to make a decision.

Looks like I'm voting with the majority again! I picked Caretaker, although I almost voted for Jetrel, the best ep featuring Neelix. -- RR

Going against the grain here and voting for "Prime Factors". Great Prime Directive dilemma, and Tuvok's role here was an unexpected twist. I love the scene in Janeway's ready room at the end.

And although not THE best, one of my personal favorites is "The Cloud", with its multitude of fun little character moments.

"Caretaker" is my favorite among the season 1 episodes.

I still regard it as the best pilot episode I've ever seen for any series. The main characters are introduced very good and the whole episode is very exciting from beginning to end.

Other episodes of season 1 on my top 5 list are:
Time And Again
Ex Post Facto
Jetrel
State Of Flux

But I really like all episodes in this great season. "Emanations" is a bit slow but watchable. Ther other episodes are very good.

Easily 'State Of Flux'. Showed some early promise of Maquis betrayal, big revelation and difficult ethics of trading technology. All of course was squandered in the next season.

"Eye of the Needle". It's in my top 10 for the whole series, in fact.

"Caretaker" isn't too far behind, though. Easily the best pilot of "modern" Trek.

I voted for "State of flux". I very like the Marquis and I also very like the Seska/Chakotay scenes.
But there are many other good episodes in season 1- "Prime Directive", "Caretaker", "Eye of the Needle" and "Parallax".

I voted for Jetrel. This was a strong season. Caretaker, Prime Factors, and Learning Curve were favorites too.

I think season one was a weaker season overall, but Faces is my favorite of it for obvious reasons

I could've gone "Caretaker," but in the end I had to go with Roxanne's awesome performance--it's just too good to ignore.

A lot of fans seem to dislike Parallax but I like it. Faces would have been my second choice if I had more votes.
