Best Endings

Yep, In the Pale Moonlight was awesome. Garak's speech, Sisko's closing scene, on the edge, risqué, a classic.

And also true in COC with Picard defiantly saying, "there...are.... FOUR lights!" after he gets rescued was one of the greatest.

Have a look at the ending of Balance of Terror - after Kirk talks to the widow of a crewman killed during the battle, he walks out into the main corridor as the credits roll.

There is something really modern looking about this scene.

I think it is the way they move the camera.

The Siege is a mediocre episode, but I love how the ending set the tone for much of the series: Kira mourning the loss of a new beginning for Bajor, Sisko and O'Brien discussing the nature of heroism while waiting for their families to return.

Chief, Li Nalas was the hero of the Bajoran resistance. He performed extraordinary acts of courage for his people and died for their freedom. That's how the history books on Bajor will be written, and that's how I'll remember him when anybody asks.

The Inner Light and the DS9 Circle trilogy concluded well. Times Arrow Part II is cool too. Someone brought up "Clues" as the worst ending but I thought they ended that well. The Defector is good when the Klingon's appear and make Tomalak a little less cocky. I liked the ending of Redemption part II. Balance of Terror in TOS. Year of Hell, where Anorax thinks the better of his number crunching, deciding that his time is better spent going for a stroll with da missus. These are the elegant endings that pop into my head.

Going to say In The Pale Moonlight as well. I often hold that up as not only my favourite ending, but my favourite scene.

In "All Good Things..." I like that Picard finally plays a game of poker with his crew (the senior officers that is).

I just watched The Mind's Eye, and I love the ending there. Geordi realizing how violated he was, and how unsure he has become.

I also like the ending to Tin Man, with Troi and Data in the observation lounge.

I'm not a big Voyager fan but I thought Janeway outwitting that malevolent clown(the thaw??)was a pretty neat conclusion.

I think TNG's Lower Decks ending is particularly strong, if not a happy one. (I don't just mean the very last scene with Worf, but including the Picard speech and the reaction of Jaxa's friends). In fact, the entire episode is very good.
