Anyway, I voted for Miles. I'd have to ask on what basis you compiled this list... properly, it should be:

Montgomery Scott
Geordi LaForge
Miles O'Brien
B'Elanna Torres
Charles Tucker

If you were going with chief engineers from the shows. If you wanted to include recurring engineering characters the list would be a bit longer, also if you wanted Ops officers like Kim and Data who milled around in engineering...

Or is this just an eccentric list based on your personal whims? If so, I'd be interested to know as to why you select these characters.

I'd say it's a tie, between Miles and Trip, but since I figured he'd have less votes I went for Trip. LOL and apparently I was right since he only has one vote.
