Best commercial of the decade

Yes, it's another decade round-up thread.

Adweek Media selected Honda's Grrr, the very colourful ad with the flying diesel engines, as the best ad of the 00s. I think some of the other ads on that shortlist were way better including the Cadbury Gorilla, Honda's Cogs, and Philip's Carousel. The Ikea desk lamp one made me laugh for a good bit as well.

Any others you'd add to the list?

The Diet Coke commercial with the brain. For me it just never gets old:

What's even funnier are reading comments from people who don't understand the commercial because they don't get the "onion sombrero" joke. Make sure you read the user comments under the Youtube video. Some of them will make you go  . I mean one doesn't expect everyone to know everything about Mexican culture, but c'mon who doesn't know what a sombrero is? Or the fact people tear up when they peel onions. ;)

That Coke one is bizarre, I like it.

As for favourite ad, I don't know. The ads that stick with me more often than not are the ones I really goddamn hate (every other 'look at these hip cool people drinking Guinness' ad, like the one where they trash the TV), but this iPhone ad appealed to me.

Still one of the best ever.

Oh and as a bonus I'll throw in the Michael Bay GM commercial I mentioned in misc:

Still one of the bestlooking car commercials I've seen. Excluding the SSR at the end.

The best Michael Bay commerical is IMHO his one for Verizon; it may also be the single greatest work of his career.

Ah true that, but that's more him making fun of himself while the other is him doing his things. I do love the exploding pool though, makes no sense at all

I thought the commercials for (Smirnoff Ice?), the one with the trident and the other with the catapult, were pretty good. And Bud Lite ran a series about a self-centered football player a while back that left me in stitches-just can't remember the guy's name. I do remember a line from one, though.

"Y'now(name), there's no 'I' in team."

"Yeah, aint no 'we', either."
