Berlinghoff Rasmussen

Aquehonga

Fleet Captain
BR the 22nd Century New Jerseyite should've been on ENT. In fact, had he been on ENT, the Sultan of Schmaltz should've played Rasmussen, as was originally planned on TNG:)

Apparently Mr. Goodbar wasn't available to play Rasmussen on TNG due to his filming committments at the time {HOOK, DEAD AGAIN, etc}.

Tis'shame with Beckett's NX-01, as playing the duplicitous deceptive Rasmussen on ENT would've been a great role for His Irritance to play. Would've been redeeming for Mork from Dork & a breath of fresh air for viewers & aficionados alike.

How in the wide, wide world of sports did STPTB&B miss having BR on ENT? & be portrayed by Cadillac Man on ENT:)

I have no problem with Max Headroom's performance as BR at all. He was great, & amusing:lol:

But Max Headroom hasn't been playing a laundry list of Mr. Violins & Mr. Nicety-Nices:brickwall:

Mrs. Doubtfire has, & playing the nefarious BR would've been the right thing to do:hugegrin:

INSOMNIA & 1-HOUR PHOTO were baby steps:mad:

Patch Adams should've played Raz on ENT, then someone like Burke in ALIENS, but m:evil:re insidi:devil:us.

There was a rumor that ENT would do a prequel. We would have learned that Rasmussen and Archer were roommates at MIT.

And they could have tied it into the whole Temporal Cold war angle so very well.

Maybe we should tell some of the Trek Novelists on the board of this idea, could make a cool a Enterprise Novel!!!

Here is what I see.

Archer and Rasmussen are sent on a mission by star fleet to investigate something alien tech like artifact, Rasmussen being an expert on alien tech or etc...

They begin tearing apart the device to figure out how it works and Rasmussen in advertantly triggers something that puts a whole planet at risk, Ie. it was actually a weapon in the temporal cold war that was displaced in time and doesn't belong in Archer's era.

Someone from the 26th century shows up with his time-pod and they work together with Archer and Rasmussen to avert the disaster and the whole time Rasmussen works to build trust in the guy in the guy from the 26th Century.

With Disaster narrowly averted, the guy from the 26th century needs to use a device on Archer and Rasmussen to blank their memories of the last 24 hours because they saw tech they shouldn't have seen untill another 150 years.

Rasmussen overpowers the guy and steals him time pod and disaapears, Archer, with memory blanked now has to work with the stranger who knows him really well and they use some of the devices stowed in Daniel's quarters to try to get his pod back, he locates it in the 24 centruy and recalls it. He makes some statement about Rasmussen being stuck int he 24th century and surmises the tech he saw already exists in the 24th century and he won't disrupt anything there and good riddance. He then leaves after putting the things in Daniel's quarters back in their proper place and blanks Archer's memory after thanking him and then escapes to his time pod and disappears.

100 years is a long time. Could be that Rasmussen was dead or was just a child when the Enterprise launched.

In my own fanfic Rasmussen's time travel pod comes from a highly sophisticated spacefaring race from the Beta Quadrant that mastered the art of time travel tens of thousands of years ago and then saw their world wiped out by cometary fragment impacts about 90,000 years ago. Rasmussen happened upon a time traveler from that species when he was visiting 22nd century Earth after leaving the 26th. That misled B.R. to believe the pod and the pilot were both from that century.

another thing from the enterprise time period was the weapon every one was hunting for in captains holiday.
it was lost in enterprise era on risa.

Matt Frewer still looks more or less the way he did in 1991. With a little makeup he could easily look like Rasmussen from about the same time period of his visit to the Enterprise-D. Remember, in Sci-Fi's TAKEN he was a leading character and still had a relatively youthful appearance.
