B'Elanna's pointless 'Engineer' jacket...

Lucy of Nine

Commander
Red Shirt
Just watching the episodes where B'Elanna's silly Engineer jacket with little tools in the pockets, makes its first appearance. So big and baggy! Poor B'Elanna, thats some baaaad fashion that someone replicated... :)

REALLY? Oooh I didnt know! How funny. There was one episode where I thought I caught a fleeting glance of a belly but I thought I was going crazy!!!!!!!!

She's totally absent from Living Witness as I seem to recall that she had given birth around that time. She's also 'concealed' behind consoles quite a lot...

^That's correct, she does not appear in "Living Witness" at all. She is only referenced when Quarren incorrectly refers to her as the ship's "transporter operator".

ohhhhhhhhhh! very interesting! I was going to say... the jacket looks just like her uniform, only with a stupid pocket protector thingy.

They could've added SOME kind of color variation rather than use the same friggin style as their regular uniform.

They actually didn't want anybody to notice she was pregnant: the actress was pregnant, not B'Elanna at that point.

So they just made it black as possible and covered the necessities -- and then didn't film it much. The pocket protector tool thingy was meant to draw attention up to her face and away from the business end.

I just wish they had kept it around after she gave birth. I kinda liked it. Plus I would have liked to see her actually use those tools once in a while.

I actually liked it, too; but now that I think of it -- the tools were not up in a pocket protector but down at the hem of the jacket? Can't remember.
