From the thread title, I thought this would have to do with Darmok and Jalad.
He's one of the few people who can make wearing sunglasses indoors look cool, thanks to his sartorial taste with fedora and all... and - of course - matching purple beard when applicable, and - the biggest attribute - the personality to pull off the entire ensemble quite nicely. Or second-biggest, it depends on your point of view.
