Beautiful stop-motion video shot over 2 years with 288,000 jelly beans

A friend of mine posted link to http://www.petapixel.com/2011/11/03...-shot-over-two-years-with-288000-jelly-beans/ where you can see this awesome new video that was shot over the course of two years using a background painstakingly animated with 288,000 jelly beans. I'm finding I love the song a lot too. I thought I would share:

Thanks for sharing! I like the song a lot and the video is cool, though I don't thnk I find it worth the effort. Since I'm not the one putting the effort in, it's very enjoyable!

Fantastic work. I'm not surprised this took 2 years to make, it looks like a looooooot of work. Turned out really great though, very impressive. And the girl's cute.

eta after watching the making of: Wow, that was even more elaborate than I thought, the singer is not even standing up in the actual video, but she's lying on top of the jellybean pictures (or mosaics rather I guess) matching every single frame directly instead of her just singing in front of a green screen and later matching it with the background in post-production. I don't really understand the director's thinking in that regard, but whatever.

Wow, I didn't realize that they stop-motioned her as well as the beans. My gut tells me that that was a mistake, that it'd look better with her in regular motion against the beans, and that definitely would have been easier on the team. I wonder what the cost for making this was.

Anyhow, very impressive and unique video, awful and utterly commonplace song. Pro tip: spend at least as much time writing the song as you do filming the video.

Clearly a labor of love, considering this could've been done in maybe a few weeks just using computer animation and a little 3D modeling and greenscreen work. The results are impressive, though.
