James Traficant, the Democrat that embarrassed the party with his outrageous clothes and speeches that ended in, "Well, beam me up, Scotty!", was disqualified in his comeback bid to run for Congress. He got out of prison where he had been for seven years. Election officials said he didn't have enough signatures on his petition because a large number were invalid. He was 107 short. They threw 1,000 of them out. I'm guessing they probably rigged it to disqualify him out of embarrassment.
