A clip from the first minute will be playing

We don't get cool stuff like that over here. I keep being reminded that North America -- and the US in particular -- are 20 years behind Europe in a number of things. You've had Red Button-style services there for 25 years. Closest we ever got was WebTV and video on demand (which granted isn't too much different, but most VOD services charge a fee of some sort - I assume Red Button is included in the regular fee/licence).

Red Button hasn't been around for 25 years, it's been maybe 10 years since those sorts of services. Before that we had teletext/ceefax/oracle going back to the 70s.

As for VoD, iPlayer is available on Wii and PS3, as well as now on Freesat HD receivers and mobile phones and various other devices. All as part of the licence fee.

Well, it's up!! There was never going to be much in one minute (actually 40-something seconds) but I liked the tone of it, looks like a blast! Also quite like the music as well.

It's going to be a long week!!

So if this is the first minute then perhaps the sixty-minute episode will only take about 42 minutes to watch.

Definitely hungry for more though.

Does that mean that there's a brown suit jacket somewhere in early nineties London that fell out of the sky?

I think the jacket either

Got scorched in the burning console room.

Fell out of the TARDIS in 2005 London January 1st (you see the millennium dome) and fell into the Thames.

I think once the TARDIS hits big ben the doctor falls back in and jumps to 1998.

Then he falls deep into the TARDIS and lands in the pool.

Has anyone watched the Video Explorer? The Moff talks about the scene and short pieces about the aerial camera and pre-vis. There's more to be released next week.

I misread the web-site and thought they were showing the clip on BBC One at 18:25. I endured the last 10 minutes of that wipeout programme and was dissapointed it wasn't on afterward. Anyway, only seven days to go!

That was way too short, but it was still cool seeing the old console one more time, and the FX of the TARDIS spinning over the city was beautifully done.

I quite liked that it was too short, i was hoping it would be rather than a scene with dialogue etc.

Besides, its not clear if it is part of the first few minutes or the very start. Cool though, THe Doctor hanging onto the Tardis with Sonic in mouth was cool.

Other wise, the effects look cool. Music was a little TOO Murray Gold i thought, kinda like season 1.

but we'll see.:techman:

Having watched the full array of ads on the BBC America site, I have to say that I'm really glad that this show will be exploring the Doctor's relationship with the TARDIS a bit more. I loved it when it was mentioned in the first River Song episode, and based on the ads it really sounds like it's something Moffat is s planning on delving into more fully.

It's also great, based upon the rapid fire clips, that they're also going to return to focusing on the myriad adventures the Doctor goes on. Not just always hanging around modern-day London with his thumb up his ass.

Well, considering Gold is back doing the music for the new season, if it had sounded like anyone else but Gold, I might have been worried.
